The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is slated to release on Nintendo Switch on 15th October, 2019, while Cyberpunk 2077 is out on 16th April 2020 for Google Stadia, PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. There's no question that Cyberpunk 2077 is one of the biggest game releases of 2020. Unfortunately, Nintendo Switch owners won't be able to join in on the fun. Sure, there's plenty of great games to play on the Nintendo Switch, but it's hard to ignore the siren's call of Keanu Reeves, if we're being honest.
The release of Cyberpunk 2077 has brought in all sorts of hype and fanfare surrounding the game. From cosplays, fan art, and fan-made creations, Cyberpunk 2077has no shortage of fuel to add to the flames of imagination. Though, one talented user, in particular, has really outdone themselves in terms of a fan-made design.
As of a couple of days ago, Cyberpunk 2077 has launched on a number of major platforms, with next-gen versions of the game currently in development. However, as of right now, a release of Cyberpunk 2077 on the Nintendo Switch does not appear to be in development, thoughthis hasn't stopped one fan from allowing the game to have at least some small presence on the console.

Instagram user eidrianhideki posted a picture of a custom made Cyberpunk 2077 themed Nintendo Switch Lite. The bright yellow designs with circuitry embellishments are incredibly reminiscent of the in-game aesthetic. This custom design is very similar to the fan-made Cyberpunk 2077 themed Xbox Series X that was shown off earlier this month, which featured laser engravings and 3-D printed embellishments.
While as of right now, there seem to be no plans to have Cyberpunk 2077 on Nintendo Switch, a Switch port does not seem to be too far out of the realm of possibility. Considering the fact that The Witcher 3, a game similarly developed by CD Projekt Red and extensively large in its own right, made its way onto the Nintendo Switch over four years after the game's initial release.
With any luck, the game will eventually make its way onto the Switch, which would, in turn, make the custom Cyberpunk 2077 design on the Nintendo Switch Lite make a lot more sense. The design itself is very stylish and impressive, but the fact that the game isn't featured on the Switch makes its design a rather confusing one, to say the least.
It will be interesting to see what the future holds for Cyberpunk 2077. While most reviewers liked what they saw, the large volume of bugs and glitches has dampened the experience of many players. Luckily, CD Projekt Red seemingly appears to be on top of things with the release of update 1.04 that went live earlier today. As of right now, the studio appears to have a lot on its plate in terms of keeping up with player feedback and bug fixes, but hopefully, once the hype surrounding Cyberpunk 2077 dies down, the studio could potentially focus on a Switch port. Either way, fans will just have to wait and see.
Cyberpunk 2077 is out now for PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One, with PS5 and Xbox Series X/S versions currently in development.

We all have heard of Cyberpunk 2077 by now; the good, the bad, and the uncertain. It is a massive action role-playing game that was developed and published by CD Projekt, the makers of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. Cyberpunk 2077 takes place in Night City, an open world in the Cyberpunk universe. Your character is a mercenary viewed from a first-person perspective and is known as V.
It is quite a fascinating game and is probably going to be remembered as the game of the decade. Yes, it has its bugs but this is a massive game and that is expected and will be gradually improved with updates. Still, the game delivers a fascinating story and a thrilling experience.
Will Cyberpunk 2077 Be On Nintendo Switch
Now, let’s discuss the possibility of it coming to Nintendo Switch. CD Projekt has a past of bringing their big games to Nintendo Switch and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is the best example. Bringing such a massive game to the Nintendo Switch is challenging, of course, but possible and it is considered to be one of the best ports on the Switch.
According to Nintendo Life, John Mamais who is Game Producer at CD Projekt did say, ”Who would have thought a game like The Witcher 3 would be possible on Switch, so who knows? I guess we’ll see, if we `decide to put it on the Switch, if we can do it. Probably not.” So it is not out of the question that it might come sometime in the future but not necessarily anytime soon.

In a new interview with ONMSFT, John Mamais was asked if Cyberpunk 2077 would be coming to Nintendo Switch. He answered that, ”Not as far as I know. Not yet. I don’t know if Cyberpunk 2077 would work on the Nintendo Switch. It might be too heavy for it. But then, we did put Witcher 3 on it and we thought that would be too heavy too but somehow we pulled it off.” He does admit that it would be too heavy but adds that so was The Witcher 3 and they did manage to port it to the Switch.

We can see that the possibility of Cyberpunk 2077 is not out of the question for Nintendo Switch but perhaps wouldn’t be coming within the next 2 years. In addition, we have seen heavy games come to the Switch but in cloud versions such as Assassin’s Creed Odyssey.
Finally, Cyberpunk 2077 may be ported to the Switch while downgrading its graphics, or even bringing it in cloud version as other developers have done. Either way, there is a possibility for the futuristic game to make its way to the handheld device. We will update you if and when we learn anything about this story.
